The Broncs battled back from a 17 point second half deficit on the strength of a ‘double-double’ from junior Shaunice Parker but it wasn’t enough as Loyola defeated Rider 66-59 in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game Sunday afternoon. “We had to step up and make some shots and we didn’t do that, especially in the first half,” said head coach Lynn Milligan. “We waited too long to get started today and dug ourselves a hole we couldn’t get out of.” |

To understand the turnaround taking place with the Rider women's basketball program, the question to ask the players may not be about how it feels to be winning games more often. The question to ask them is how do they feel when they lose a game these days.

It is usually about how you finish. Today, it was how they started. Despite battling all the way back from a 19 point deficit, the Broncs lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game to Niagara Sunday afternoon. “Unfortunately, there are two halves to a basketball game,” said head coach Lynn Milligan. “I hope they come away with a strong taste of disgust in their stomachs knowing what they are capable of and understanding how important it is to focus at the beginning of games.” |

| December 2, 2007 - Towson 74 Rider 68 | Despite 21 points from senior Janele Henderson, the Broncs lost to Towson Sunday afternoon. “We competed with team that beat us badly last year,” said head coach Lynn Milligan. “It’s now closing that six to eight point gap and turning a close game into a win. Two or three possessions are costing us right now and each game that we’ve lost has been by between six to eight points.” |
