Two Broncs MAAC All-Academic Honors

EDISON—Two members of the Rider University golf team were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic team it was announced Saturday by the conference office.

Sophomore Eric LeFante (Colts Neck, N.J./Colts Neck) and graduate student Jeff Palmer (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) were honored for their work in the classroom.

LeFante is majoring in Business Administration and has a g.p.a. of 3.66.  Palmer is currently pursuing his master’s in Business Administration and has a g.p.a. of 3.57.

"Eric and Jeff have done very well both in athletics and academics," said head coach Bob Whartenby.  "It is very difficult to balance both with the demanding schedules that you have to keep and they are to be commended for their efforts at Rider."

The golf team is currently competing at the conference championships in Lake Buena Vista, Florida at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course.
