Rider’s Fenlator Honored by MAAC
LAWRENCEVILLE—Jazmine Fenlator, a senior on the Rider University outdoor track & field team, was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Performer of the Week for all competition through March 25. “Jazmine continued right where she left off from the indoor season,” said head coach Rob Pasquariello.
Fenlator (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), an All-East performer during the indoor track season won the hammer with an ECAC qualifying toss of 161’9” and placed second in both the shot put (46’4.25”) and the discus (162’2”) at Monmouth, as Rider defeated 10 of 12 teams.
“Jazmine qualifying early for the ECAC’s really takes some pressure off,” Pasquariello said. “She can now focus on the NCAA qualifying marks and just go out and perform. She is in her last competitive season at Rider and she has the potential to do put forth some really special performances during the outdoor season.”
Fenlator, the 2005-06 Rider Female Athlete of the Year, led the Broncs to the MAAC Championship during the indoor season.
Rider travels to the Lafayette Invitational Saturday.
