Dr. Scorpio is a social psychologist whose interests are focused on the impact of stereotyping and biases on social perception, judgment and decision making.   She has studied the role of gender and racial  biases  on judgments  in many different contexts.   Of particular interest  are the  effects of gender stereotypes on perceptions of female leaders.  Dr. Scorpio teaches Introductory Psychology and Research/ Statistics as well as courses in vaious areas of social psychology.
