Thursday, Sept. 6, 5:15pm: Welcome Barbecue/Icebreaker for Honors freshmen at President Rozanski’s home
Thursday., Sept. 20, 5:00 pm: Provost’s Reception and discussion of summer reading—THE KITE RUNNER—for Honors freshmen. Dinner and doorprizes in BLC Fireside.
Friday, September 28, 4-5:30pm: Screening of CHASING FREEDOM, BLC Theater. Film about an Afghani woman who seeks political asylum in the US and the pro bono lawyer whose eyes are opened up by her story and her treatment in both countries. One or two profs will speak briefly to contextualize the issues, beginning at 3:45, and lead a brief discussion afterward.
Tuesday., Oct. 16, 5 pm: BHP Pre-registration party. Learn about spring semester courses . TLC Rooms 310/311 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Pizza provided. Hear from Honors profs about upcoming courses (200-level and above). This is mainly for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, but freshmen are welcome to attend.. Pizza and beverages served.
Thursday, Nov. 15: Brush-up performance and director’s talk by Prof. Miriam Mills for Fine Arts Theater production of SWEET CHARITY.
