Dr. Barricklow's areas of concentration are literary theory and criticism and linguistics.  As well as courses in literary criticism and general linguistics, he teaches seminars in twentieth-century American literature. He is currently working on the problems involved with teaching modern methods of literary analysis. Dr. Barricklow is a recipient of the Lindback Award for distinguished teaching.
