- Where is the Moore Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom?
The Computer Lab/E-Classroom is located on the main floor of Moore Library on Rider University's Lawrenceville campus.
- Who may use the Moore Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom?
The Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom is open to Rider University students, faculty, and staff when it is not being used for library instruction.
- When is the Moore Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom open for use as a computer lab?
The Computer Lab/E-Classroom is open for use as a computer lab from the time the Library is opened in the morning until 30 minutes before the Library is closed, except when it is being used for library instruction. Please see the Moore Library Computer Lab Calendar for scheduled library instruction sessions.
- How do I scan my own floppy disk for viruses in the Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom?
- Place the floppy disk in the floppy disk drive
- Then double click on the Scan Diskette icon on the desktop
- After finishing the virus scan, click on the "X" in the upper-right hand corner of the VirusScan window or click Close
- I don't have a disk (or can't save a file to the floppy drive for some other reason), how can I E-mail my document to myself using WEBMAIL?
- Temporaily save the file to the harddrive (c:)
- Stay at that computer
- Access your Rider E-mail account via Rider's home page and click on Webmail located at the top of the page next to Quick Links
- Create a message to yourself and attach the file just saved to the harddrive
- To attach a message:
- Click on Attach
- Click on Browse to select the filename
- Once you located your file, click on Add File
- Then click on OK
- Send the message
- After you are sure that your message went through, delete the document on the harddrive
- To retrieve your document from another computer do the following: Access your Rider E-mail via Rider's home page and click on Webmail
- Open the message that you sent to yourself with the attachment
- Open the attachment
- Now you can save the file
- What software is available in the Moore Library Computer Lab/E-Classroom?
Software on the computers in the Computer Lab/E-Classroom includes Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), McAfee Antivirus, Netscape Navigator, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Human Evolution, Choices III, ComIndex, FARS, and OECD Health Data. The computers use the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.
- How do I read my e-mail in the Computer Lab/E-Classroom?
To read your Rider E-mail using WEBMAIL via Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, open a browser and go to the following URL: http://webmail.rider.edu/.
- Are there any other computer labs on campus?
