Rider Public Relations Society

This association supplements classroom and internship learning for public relations students through speakers, field trips and networking opportunities. Workshops on writing resumes and preparing for job interviews are held for members. Dr. Bosah Ebo is adviser.

Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society

Lambda Pi Eta is the honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). It works to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies; to stimulate interest in the field of communication; to promote and encourage professional development among communication majors; to establish and maintain closer relationships and mutual understanding between communication studies faculty and students, and to explore options for graduate education in communication studies.

To be eligible for consideration for admission, applicants must have completed 60 semester credit hours (90 quarter credit-hours); have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for all courses taken; must be in the upper 35% of their institutional academic class; have a GPA for all communication studies courses taken of at least 3.25; have completed the equivalent of 12 semester credit-hours in communication studies; and currently be enrolled as a full-time student in good standing as determined by institutional policies. In addition, students should also display commitment to the field of speech communication, and all persons considered for membership shall exhibit high standards of personal and professional character and shall support the purposes of the honor society. Our department became a member of LPH in 1994.  Dr. Pamela A. Brown, Dr. Minmin Wang and Dr. Yun Xia advise the chapter.
