  • COUN 530:  Legal and Ethical Issues in Counseling & Psychology
  • CNPY 502:  Counseling Psychology Theories
  • CNPY 514:  Psychopathology
  • EDPS 503:  Human Growth and Development
  • EDPS 520:  Measurements, Tests & Assessments in Counseling
  • EDUC 500:  Introduction to Research  


Group 2:  Field Experience (9 Credits)

  • COUN 550: Counseling Techniques Laboratory
  • COUN 580:  Elementary Counseling Practicum or
    COUN 581:  Secondary School Counseling Practicum
  • COUN 590:  Internship in Counseling I or
    COUN 591:  Internship in Counseling II or
    COUN 690:  Internship in Counseling Specialty or
  • COUN 600:  Independent Study and Research in Counseling Services (Intership in School)


Group 3:  Special and Related Areas (6 Credits)

  • EDSO 501:  Community Agencies
  • EDSO 510:  Sociological and Cultural Foundations of Education


Group 4:  Electives

In addition, two 3-credit electives are required.
