Degree Requirements
Deg ree requirements reference the Standards of the National Policy Board for Educational Administration, utilized by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council (ELCC):
- Meet general Master degree requirements.
- Candidates will demonstrate course understandings through actual classroom and school applications that are referenced to state adopted core curriculum content standards and professional development standards, the Standards for School Leaders of the Interstate School Leaders Consortium, and the candidate proficiencies developed by the Educational Leadership Constitutient Council.
- Develop and refine the personal leadership platform statement throughout the program.
- Complete a nine to twelve hour standards and outcome-based growth project in each class and a 150 hour “capstone internship” in the final Seminar and Practicum Supervision course.
- Complete all course and program requirements.
- Satisfy matriculation requirements in accordance with established procedures.
- Submit the Leadership Growth Projects portfolio.
- Pass the required comprehensive examination in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision.
- Complete a comprehensive and sustained internship throughout enrollment in the program.
