Why did you choose Rider? Rider offered evening classes and a way to earn my degree while working full time.
What do you like about Rider? The support given to CCS students; a way is made for adults employed full time to earn their degree at their own pace and work around their hectic schedules. I have always received as much support from the staff as I desired.
What is your favorite class, and why? Advertising Copy & Layout was probably my favorite class because it went beyond theory to application. We created and critiqued actual advertisements. However, I also really enjoyed Acting I; it was challenging and fun and made me more confident in who I am and my ability to present myself in front of an audience of peers (singing an a cappella solo will do that to you!).
What person at Rider has had the most impact on you, and why? Early in my college career Christine Zelenek, my advisor at the time, really encouraged me in my pursuit to earn my degree. She never made me feel embarrassed to ask a question; I always knew she would do everything in her power to help me out. In my final college years, Dr. Gao was influential in helping me to refine my talents. She was always willing to spend the time and effort needed and encouraged me with her constructive criticism.
What are your career plans following graduation? I plan on starting a family with my husband, who also attends Rider. I would also like to return to Rider for my MBA. After that we will see where life leads me!
Hobbies: Renovating my home, gardening, playing the piano, exercise and performing in the Sunday School program at Calvary Chapel Philadelphia
