Rider to Launch Entrepreneurial Studies Major in Fall 2006
Rider University’s College of Business Administration (CBA) will offer a new entrepreneurial studies major in the fall.  The major features an elective, Student Venture Experience, that will allow students to launch their own businesses with the help of an interest-free, short-term loan of up to $5,000.  To read more, click here.

Rider Undergraduate SBI Team Ranks in Top 10
Rider University’s Small Business Institute (SBI) has again placed in the top 10 nationally in the 2005 National Small Business Institute® student consulting case-of-the-year competition, undergraduate division.  To read more, click here.

Rider Graduate SBI Team Places Second Nationally
Dave Molnar ’76 (left), president of DWM & Associates of New Brunswick, and Dr. Ronald Cook (right), Professor of Small Business, Rider University’s graduate team of Gina Calla, Julie Luster and Quynh Woodward placed second in the 2005 Small Business Institute Association National Case Competition. The trio did a marketing analysis and offered strategic guidance in the marketing of DWM & Associates of New Brunswick's complete line of temperature sensors.  To read more, click here.

Brennfleck Wins Entrepreneur Award
Jon Brennfleck, a Rider University student, received second place in the N.J. Division of the East Coast Student (Collegiate) Entrepreneur Awards competition on May 4.  He was nominated by Dr. Ron Cook for the contest, which honors gifted student entrepreneurs in the region. 

In May 2005, Dr. Ron Cook was elected to the editorial board of the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development.
