Heuris Pharma is pursing two medical oriented research and development projects.  The first priority is the development/formulation of a three-dimensional radiation gel dosimeter for radiation treatment planning verification for which a SBIR grant from NIH was awarded in Sept. 2002. The second is to investigate a new in vivo imaging agents for detection of tumors and infections.

Established the Quality Control and Development groups, which were major contributors to the FDA approving three products.  The first two were monoclonal antibodies that are radiolabeled and used as in vivo diagnostic agents for detecting specific cancer cells and the last is a small molecule chelator used for palliation of bone pain.

Supervised three chemists in developing chromatographic methods for process intermediates, bulk drug, formulated drug products (creams, ointments, tablets, capsules, transdermal, biological fluids) stability studies. Published seven manuscriptsfrom studies performed at Squibb.  Invited speaker to numerous meetings including North Jersey Chromatography Discussion Group,  Preparative Chromatography Symposium in Washington, DC,  FACSS, and AAPS.

Planned and supervised animal metabolism studies using C-14 labeled chemicals of interest to the agricultural, chemical , and pharmaceutical industry in order to study their distribution, excretion and metabolism.
