Waiver of Courses

Individual preliminary courses for the MAcc program may be waived if an equivalent undergraduate course or sequence of courses was completed, with a grade of at least a "C" in each class, at an AACSB International accredited program from which a student graduated within the past five years.

If equivalent undergraduate core courses were completed at a non-AACSB International (regionally) accredited program, individual core courses may be waived based on completion of equivalent course work within six years prior to admission to the MAcc program at Rider with an undergraduate grade of "C" or higher.

With the approval of the Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration, students may take proficiency examinations to waive preliminary courses if the above criteria are not met. Preliminary courses will not be waived merely because of one's work experience.

Transfer of Courses

Only a student who has been admitted to candidacy for the MAcc may request the transfer of a graduate course taken at an accredited institution. Such a request may be granted if the course was taken recently, was passed with a grade of "B" or higher and was taken before admission to the MAcc program at Rider. Once a student has been admitted to the program, graduate courses taken at other institutions must have prior approval of the Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration before transfer credit will be allowed. A maximum of six (6) semester hours of transfer credit may be granted.
