Biology Major Requirements
The Biology Major requirements provide flexibility so that a student can develop depth in an area of interest, such as cell & molecular biology or ecology. Cognate requirements in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics provide training in related fields on which modern biology depends. The Biology major requirements include the prerequisite courses students need to apply to most medical, dental, veterinary and other graduate school schools. Biology majors must take 62 or 63 credits and earn a B.S. degree

Important Notes
- If a student earns a grade lower than C in any prerequisite course, they must repeat it before enrolling in any biology or behavioral neuroscience course for which it is a prerequisite.
These requirements are in addition to the Core Curriculum Requirements. Please see the Academic Catalogs for more information, including course descriptions.
