Careers in Chemistry Symposium

On Saturday, May 2, 2009, Rider University hosted its first “Careers in Chemistry” Symposium.

28 local chemists - pharmaceutical chemists, flavors and fragrances chemists, food chemists, professors, museum curators, government and army scientists, consultants, information scientists, science reporters and writers, scientific editors, sales representatives, secondary education teachers, patent lawyers, forensics scientists, science historians, and doctors - spoke to 136 high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from the central New Jersey/Philadelphia area.

If you attended Careers in Chemistry, we would appreciate you taking just 5 minutes to fill out the Exit Survey.  This will allow us to improve upon the program in future years.

To give the attendees even more exposure to chemistry careers, we are planning field trips throughout the summer to many of the companies represented at the symposium.  You must fill out the Exit Survey to be eligible for these

Please feel free to contact the event coordinator, Dr. Danielle Jacobs, with any questions via email at djacobs@rider.edu, or at 609-895-5667.
