DAARSTOC is a unique organization designed to help students build a collection of personal and professional skills. In weekly meetings and regular workshops, DAARSTOC students learn and develop strategies for many organizational competencies, including:

• Interpersonal communication
• Giving and receiving feedback
• Problem solving
• Stress management
• Interviewing for jobs (as an interviewer or a candidate)
• Public speaking
• Managing with assertiveness and empathy

Rather than using guest speakers, lectures, or reading, DAARSTOC relies on role plays, interactive exercises, and skill practice to build the competence and confidence levels of tomorrow’s leaders and top performers.

DAARSTOC boasts a powerful and connected network of alumni who currently occupy all levels (including top executive) in a wide variety of industries. Many of them return regularly to DAARSTOC workshops and events, and have expressed that the skills they learned in DAARSTOC distinguished them from their peers upon entering the workforce and have propelled their careers in significant ways.

The program is very selective, but is open to all Rider undergraduate students (all majors and colleges).
