Demonstrated working competency in a foreign language equivalent to one year of college-level study and two courses (6 credits) chosen from a list of approved international liberal arts electives

OR two courses (6 credits) in a foreign language (may be applied to the Foreign Language Minor) plus one (3 credit) non-foreign language international liberal arts elective

100 hours of international work or service experience approved by faculty advisor

Active membership in an international business or student organization

Liberal arts electives include courses in the humanities, social sciences, and foreign languages. A range of courses from the Foreign Language and Literature Department include Spanish, French, German, Russian, and Chinese. Additionally, listed below is a sample of liberal arts electives from the Departments of Communications, Global and Multinational Studies, History, Political science, and Sociology. Students are strongly encouraged to develop proficiency in a foreign language, regardless of the International Business Co-major option selected.
