“Rider Chinese Language Students and Chinese Exchange Students from Sanda University in Shanghai Attend Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival in Edison, New Jersey on Saturday, October 7”
Rider Chinese Language Students and Chinese Exchange Students from Sanda University in Shanghai attended the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival in Edison, New Jersey on Saturday, October 7th accompanied by Dr. Wei, an English professor from Sanda who is studying in Rider’s MBA program. Students set up a booth and handed out information about Rider’s international students program. Besides manning the booth, they took time to taste the delicious foods and enjoy the traditional Chinese dragon dancing, acrobatics and songs. Best of all, our brave language students tried out the Chinese they have learned in class with Professors Jiang and Yu by chatting with Chinese attendees. Some even joined the “dragon parade,” holding a paper dragon in their hands. Students report that it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know Chinese Americans and to learn about Chinese culture.
