Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain
What’s study at the Nebrija about?

In Madrid, students can pursue courses in international business in English and Spanish, Spanish language study, and Hispanic Studies. Hispanic Studies is a multi-disciplinary program of Spanish-language courses in culture, history, sociology, art history, political science and business. English-language international business courses count as College of Business Administration requirements or electives so business students can complete their programs on time while gaining valuable language and cross-cultural skills abroad.
How much does it cost?
For Rider students, the study abroad fee is equal to Rider tuition. The fee includes tuition and administrative expenses, including services from a local Rider advisor. Transportation to the overseas location, vacation travel and pocket money are not included. Rider University students who receive financial aid will continue to do so during their study abroad. Contact Student Financial Services for further information.
Must I speak Spanish to attend?
It is strongly recommended that students complete the equivalent of one year of Spanish at Rider prior to study abroad since most courses are taught in Spanish. A limited number of non-business courses are also offered in English.
Where will I live and eat?
For the Madrid program, students live with a Spanish family, and thus integrate fully into Spanish society and make lifelong friends. Students choose between full and half board. Full board is recommended, and consists of three daily meals. Laundry service is provided.
What support services does Rider provide while I am in Madrid?
Rider’s local advisor, Manuel Marchamalo, works to help Rider students make a smooth transition into the Spanish culture and academic environment. He will assist you, along with Antonio Marchamalo – academic advisor emeritus and tutor - with any academic or non-academic issues throughout the semester. At all times, they are in close contact with the Office of International Programs.
