Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) in Ecuador

What’s study at USFQ About?
USFQ provides an exciting academic environment in witch students can familiarize themselves with life in South America while acquiring Spanish language skills. Founded in 1988, it is the first established private university in Ecuador and serves as the standard of excellence in Ecuadorian higher education. USFQ has four campuses that provide a diversity of general and campus specific programs.
1 -USFQ/Cumbayá Campus
2 -The Galapagos Academic Institute for the Arts and Sciences (GAIAS)
3 -Tiputini Biodiversity Station (TBS)
4 -Instituto Santiago de Quito
For more information, visit: http://www.usfq.edu.ec/progint and go to the USFQ link.

How much does it cost?
For Rider students, the study abroad fee is equal to Rider tuition.  The fee includes tuition and administrative expenses. Room and board, transportation and incidentals are not included. Rider University students who receive financial aid continue to do so during their study abroad.  Contact Student Financial Services for further information.

Must I speak Spanish to attend?
Spanish is required to study at USFQ, although language requirements vary depending upon program and campus destination. Select courses are offered in English.  Very few classes are entirely in English, but some courses required a less advanced level of Spanish than others.

Where will I live and eat?
Students live in home-stays with host families or in residence halls depending upon the program in which they enroll.

How do I apply?
