For Students Seeking Internships, the Summer Internship Guide for 2009 is now available.

As a benefit to Rider University students, the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics has created a Summer Internship Guide for 2009. A number of state legislators have offered information on internship opportunities in their district offices, including the application process, type of work, hours, pay, etc.

Rider students can access this guide – which will be periodically updated – by using the Rider University Blackboard system.  After you log in, simply go to “My Announcements” and look for “Rebovich Institute Information.” Students seeking to earn credit for their internships should contact Ben Dworkin directly at bdworkin@rider.edu.

Preliminaries

Before the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics can help you secure an internship, there are three questions you need to answer:

1. Do you have to get paid?  Or can you work for free?
2. Do you have a car to travel to the internship?
3. How many hours / week can you work?

Once you have these answered, you can talk to us about the range of possibilities in New Jersey campaigns, government, and politics.
