Step by Step Guide to Financial Aid for Undergraduate Students (For First Time Financial Aid Applicants)

Rider uses the FAFSA as the foundation for all financial aid awards. Remember to complete the signature process by signing electronically using your PIN. Don't forget to include Rider's six digit code number (002628) on the application.
Your SAR is the response notice you will receive from the Department of Education when you file the FAFSA. You may make corrections (Link to www.fafsa.ed.gov) at anytime and you will receive an updated SAR..
Learn about state grant programs, including deadlines, requirements and procedures.
Students who are accepted to Rider will receive a financial aid award letter. It is important to review your award letter and the accompanying financial aid worksheet.
Understand more about the verification requirements and selection process.
If you are a new student and you have made your decision to attend Rider, be sure to pay all the required deposits.
If Federal Stafford and/or Perkins Loans are included as part of your award letter you will need to complete the required paperwork.
8. Determine Your Financial Plan
Plan your strategy to bring your balance to zero utilizing one or more financial options.
