Transfer Your Credits

If you would like to receive a no-obligation credit evaluation, schedule an appointment with an academic advisor in the College of Continuing Studies. You will need transcripts from all of the colleges and universities you previously attended.

To schedule an appointment, please call 609-896-5033.

The exact number of credits that will transfer will vary depending on your program; however, Rider recognizes most equivalent course work from accredited colleges and universities.  In general, for any class to be eligible for transfer the course must meet the following conditions:

  • A grade of a “C” or higher is earned
  • The course was completed at an accredited institution
  • The course is 100 level or higher*
  • The Dean’s Office in each school has final approval of transfer credit
  • If you attend a community college in New Jersey, you can also review credit transfer information at the NJ Transfer site.

    * Remedial and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are not transferable

Rider has formal partnerships with a select number of community colleges:

  • Brookdale Community College
  • Bucks County Community College
  • Burlington County College
  • Mercer County Community College
  • Middlesex County College
