Meet Our Student Staff

	Hamzah Abushaban (Class of 2011) Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ Majoring in Finance Involved in: Club Baseball and Basketball, Residence Life and Student Government Assocation		I chose Rider because of its atmosphere and faculty.

	Lauren Baker (Class of 2011) Minnechaug High School, Willbraham, MA Double Major in Elementary Education & English Involved in: President of Rider Out of Towners, Residence Hall Association		I chose Rider because I walked on this campus and immediately felt at home.

	Danielle Becker (Class of 2010) John F Kennedy High School, Merrick, NY Majoring in Finance Involved in: Residence Life, Beta Alpha Psi Honors Fraternity, Leadership Development Program		I chose Rider because I loved the sense of pride that was noticeable from the moment I stepped on campus. The programs were great and exactly what I wanted.

	Chelsea Bradshaw (Class of 2012) Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Stockton, NJ Majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology, Minor in Special Education Involved in: Special Olympics Bowling		I chose Rider because of so many things! The campus is beautiful. The people are wonderful. The list is endless.

	Denise Breen (Class of 2011) Mother Seton Regional High School, Scotch Plains, NJ Majoring in Environmental Science, Minor in Biology Involved in: Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Ice Hockey, Greeks Go Green, Student Recreation Center Faculty, Science Learning Community		I chose Rider because of the small class size, good science program and the Study Tour Program (Panama 2010). I also love Greek life as well as the small, close campus community.

	Danielle Carlucci (Class of 2011) Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Ringoes, NJ Majoring in Public Relations, Minor in Event Planning		I choose Rider because I loved the atmosphere when I entered onto the campus every time I visited.

	Meghan Carty (Class of 2011) – Student for a Day Coordinator Bordentown High School, North Hanover, NJ Majoring in Psychology, Minor in Dance Involved in: Equestrian Team (Hunt Seat and Western), Western Co-Captain of Equestrian Team		I chose Rider because it’s close to home, dance program, felt like home, and the small and friendly atmosphere.

	Hank Chang (Class of 2011) Saint Mary High School, Hometown: Taipei, Taiwan Majoring in Biochemistry, Minor in History Involved in: Science Learning Community, Math in Action, American Medical Student Association, American Chemical Society, International Club, Rider SERVES		I chose Rider because of the friendly environment and how the professors are really supportive and want to get to know their students.

	Loni Chasar (Class of 2012) Ewing High School, Hometown: Ewing, NJ Majoring in Elementary Education, Psychology, and minor in Special Education Involved in: Bonner Community Scholars, Freshman Seminar Mentor, Men’s Basketball Office, Student Government Association Bronc Aide, Orientation Staff, Psychology Ambassador, Sunshine Bowl Committee, participated in Emerging Leaders.		I chose Rider because I have wanted to go here since I was five when I fell in the love with the Men’s basketball games, helpful faculty, beautiful campus, and kind-hearted students.

	Samantha Durham (Class of 2011) Lenape High School, Mount Laurel, NJ Double Majoring in Secondary Education and English: Writing Concentration		I chose Rider for its education program at first. Once I visited I loved the atmosphere of campus.

	Tyler Eley (Class of 2012) Majoring in Music Theater Involved in: Musicals/plays, Alpha Psi Omega, Fine Arts Mentor Program, Bronc Buddy		I chose Rider because of the faculty and students (my peers) and the multiple opportunities around campus everyday!

	Kristina Fico (Class of 2010) Cheshire High School, Cheshire, CT Double Majoring in Elementary Education and American Studies Involved in: Phi Sigma Sigma, Concert Band, Rider Vibes		I chose Rider because you can be so involved on campus and you can always walk to your classes!

	Paul Gasior (Class of 2010) Wayne Valley High School, Wayne, NJ Majoring in Human Resource Management, Concentration in Marketing Involved in: President of Running Club, Member of the Executive Board of Human Resource Management Association, Residence Hall Association		I chose Rider because Rider is very focused on the success of each student and the faculty and staff is very personable with the students.

	Danielle Gizzo (Class of 2010) Hanover Park Regional High School, East Hanover, NJ Majoring in Advertising, Minor in Graphic Design Involved in: Alpha Xi Delta sorority, DAARSTOC, Marketing & Advertising Student Association		I chose Rider because of the AACSB-accredited business program.

	Halley Goldstein (Class of 2011) Manalapan High School, Manalapan, NJ Majoring in Psychology, Minor in Spanish Involved in: Vice President of Hillel, Partner for Special Olympics Bowling, Psychology Club, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, Embedded tutor for Psychology		I chose Rider because of the smaller campus size and the fact that I felt at home as soon as I set foot on campus.

	Lauryn Goldstein (Class of 2011) Manalapan High School, Manalapan, NJ Majoring in Communications-Speech and Interpersonal Skills track, Minor in Event Planning Involved in: Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, President of Hillel, Special Olympics Bowling, Mercer County Big Brother, Big Sister, Mentor for COMPASS learning community		I chose Rider because I like the small class sizes and how all of my professors are very willing to help me. My professors really want to see me succeed.

	Joanna Grillo (Class of 2011) M.J. Petrides High School, Staten Island, NY Majoring in Graphic Design, Minor in Event Planning Involved in: ROOTERS (Vice President), Catholic Campus Ministry (Social/PR chair), Energy & Sustainability Steering Committee, History Club, Study Abroad Ambassador		I chose Rider because of the programs and how much it felt like a community.

	Gina Grosso (Class of 2011) Kittatinny High School, Fredon, NJ Majoring in Communications: Radio and TV track, Minor in English: Writing Track Involved in: President Rider University Network, Lambda Pi Eta, National Broadcasting Society, Junior Class President, Student Government Association		I chose Rider because I had a great experience at an Open House. I was able to meet professors and students from my intended major, who really made me feel at home. During my visit I was able to see and fall in love with the TV studio.

	Gina Guarino (Class of 2011) Toms River High School East, Toms River, NJ Majoring in Journalism: Public Relations Track, Minors in Event Planning & Advertising Involved in: Adventure Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Student Government Association		I chose Rider because I felt comfortable here and that it could be my home for the next four years.

	Nicole Halpin (Class of 2011) Vernon Township High School, Vernon, NJ Majoring in Business Education Involved in: Vice President of SEC, Orientation Staff, Freshman Seminar Peer Mentor, Emerging Leaders Mentor		I chose Rider because of the Education department, the small class sizes, and how easy it is to get involved.

	Emily Harris (Class of 2012) Double majoring in Accounting and Marketing Involved in: Delta Sigma Pi, Equestrian team, DAARSTOC		I chose Rider because I absolutely loved the campus and it was the perfect size for me.

	George Helock (Class of 2010) Saint Joseph's High School, Scotch Plains, NJ Double majoring in Accounting and Finance, Minor in Law and Justice: Legal Studies Concentration Involved in: Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Residence Hall Association, Finance Board, Community Standards, Beta Alpha Psi, Club Council, Orientation Staff		I chose Rider because I knew how respected our business program is and I also liked how Rider is close to home.

	Lisa Henderson (Class of 2012) Ocean Township High School, Ocean Township, NJ Majoring in Communication Involved in: Co-host of radio shows, Female a cappella group “Divisi”, Member of Lambda Pi Eta- Journalism Honor Society		I chose Rider because it is a beautiful campus, great financial aid package, and awesome staff at Open House.

	Rikki Herman (Class of 2010) Whippany Park High School, Hanover Township, NJ Double Majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology, Minors in Special Education and Middle School English Involved in: Alpha Xi Delta sorority, Council for Exceptional Children, Student Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi, Hillel, Rider Student for a Day Program		I chose Rider because everyone I met while visiting was down-to-earth and welcoming.

	Christine Hogan (Class of 2010) Ridge High School, Basking Ridge, NJ Majoring in Accounting, Minor in Spanish, Certificates in Leadership Development Program and Forensics: Accounting Track Involved in: Baccalaureate Honors Program, Leadership Development Program, Emerging Leaders, Spanish Tutor, Freshman Seminar Peer Mentor, Alpha Lambda Delta		I chose Rider because of its highly regarded business program and its close knit campus community.

	Arielle Karpf (Class of 2012) Cherry Hill High School East, Cherry Hill, NJ Majoring in Communications: TV/Radio Track, Minor in Event Planning Involved in: Student Entertainment Council, Hillel, Student Support Services		I chose Rider because it felt like home the moment I stepped onto campus. The friendly and caring students, faculty and staff made Rider the only place I could see myself spending my college years.

	Samantha Kopec (Class of 2012) Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ Double major in Global Supply Chain Management and Computer Information Systems Involved in: Special Olympics Bowling, Leadership Development Program, and Tutor		I chose Rider because of the opportunities and co-ops in the business program. Also, it made me feel at home when I came on campus.

	Brian Long (Class of 2011) Point Pleasant Boro High School, Point Pleasant Boro, NJ Double Majoring in Secondary Education and English Involved in: President of Writer's Block and a member of Alpha Psi Omega		I chose Rider because the community and relationships with students and professors.

	Rose Lynn (Class of 2010) Saint Hubert High School, Philadelphia, PA Double Majoring Fine Arts: Theater Track and Communications Involved in: Residence Life, Study Tour Counselor, Peer Mentor, Former Orientation staff, Alpha Psi Omega, Mainstage Productions		I chose Rider because it felt like the perfect fit. I liked the size of the school and I heard that the theater department was really up and coming.

	Jaime Mapou (Class of 2011) Old Bridge High School, Old Bridge, NJ Majoring in Communication with track in Radio/ TV, Minor in Film and Media Studies Involved in: Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Peer Assistant for the Rider Achievement Program		I chose Rider because of the friendly environment.

	Amanda Matticks (Class of 2012) Washington Township High School, Washington Township, NJ Double Majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology, Minor in Special Education Involved in: Varsity Tennis Team, Kappa Delta Pi, Student Government Association Executive Board		I chose Rider because I wanted to play tennis in college and the coach here is very friendly and welcoming. I was also very attracted to the variety of Education programs.

	Matthew Metzger (Class 2010) Ridgewood High School, Ridgewood, NJ Majoring in Communications with a Radio and TV track, Minor in Public Relations Involved in: Ice Hockey, RUN (Rider University Network), O-Staff, Off Campus Chair of Student Entertainment Council, Student Admissions Representative		I chose Rider because of the chance to play ice hockey and for our growing communication program.

	Ashley Moore (Class of 2010) – Student for a Day Coordinator Burlington Township High School, Burlington, NJ Majoring in Marketing and Advertising Involved in: Delta Sigma Pi, Phi Sigma Sigma, Leadership Development Program		I chose Rider because of the small class sizes and prime location between NYC and Philadelphia.

	Kevin Noon (Class of 2012) Cherry Hill West High School, Cherry Hill, NJ Double Majoring in Secondary Education and English Involved in: Emerging leaders, Residence Hall Association, Intramural Sports		I chose Rider because one of the best parts of Rider is the people. The students and employees on campus are all helpful and caring. Rider is like a second home to me.

	Joanne Nosuchinsky (Class of 2010) Howell High School, Freehold, NJ Majoring in Fine Arts/ Theatre Involved in: Baccalaureate Honors Program, Apha Psi Omega		I chose Rider for its great location to major cities and its ever expanding theatre department.

	Mary O'Hara (Class of 2012) Souderton Area High School, Harleysville, PA Majoring in Advertising and Multimedia Communication Involved in: Shadow Yearbook, MASA, Leadership Development Program, Residence Hall Association		I chose Rider because when I arrived on campus, I immediately felt at home. I liked the feel of a traditional campus and how friendly all the students and staff were.

	Wendy Orleans Frank H. Morell Campus, Irvington, NJ Majoring in Psychology, Minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies Involved in: VP of Vox, Secretary of Rider Organization of Affiliate Caribbean Students, Black Student Union, Division I Tennis Team		I chose Rider because of its location.

	Rachael Parkins (Class of 2011) Council Rock High School, Holland, PA Majoring in Psychology, Minor in Mathematics Involved in: Baccalaureate Honors Program, Co-Treasurer of Equestrian Team, Secretary of Hillel, Psychology Club, Math Club, STAND		I chose Rider because of the “homey” atmosphere that I felt the moment I stepped on campus. The psychology department was very impressive so I knew Rider was a perfect fit!

	Diana Passarelli (Class of 2012) Howell High School, Howell, NJ Majoring in Human Resources Involved in: Student Entertainment Council, Vice President of Olson RHA, Science Learning Community (previous bio major), Rider SERVES and Retreat		I chose Rider because when I went on my tour of Rider, the size felt right to me as well as the atmosphere and environment of the all personalities of people that I had met.

	Scott Phillips (Class of 2012) Mt. Olive High School, Budd Lake, NJ Double Majoring in Secondary Education and History, Minor in Multicultural Studies Involved in: Vice President of Student Government Association, Study Tours by Rider University		I chose Rider because of the closeness and personal attention that Rider gives its students. Also, the Education program.

	Rheya Price (Class of 2010) Evergreen High School, Evergreen, Colorado Double Majoring in International Business & Marketing, Minor in Spanish Involved in: Student Admission Representative, Vice President of Rider University Dance Team, Recording Secretary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated		I chose Rider because of the great business program and I loved the student/faculty ratio. Also, the scholarships given were so helpful.

	Frank Romano Jr. (Class of 2010) Saint Peter's Preparatory School. Bayonne, NJ Double majoring in Secondary Education and History, Minors in Middle School and Social Studies Involved in: Baccalaureate Honors Program, President of the Student Government Association, Emerging Leaders, Freshman Seminar Mentor, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Residence Life (Resident Advisor)		I chose Rider because of all of the possible leadership opportunities available in addition to its great Education program.

	Philip Ruderman (Class of 2010) Tottenville High School, Staten Island, NY Majoring in English: Writing Concentration, Minor in Chinese Involved in: Alpha Psi Omega and Assistant Director for Rent		I chose Rider because of the location, size, and the opportunities for students outside of the classroom.

	Cait Ryan (Class of 2010) Clarkstown South High School, Nanuet, NY Double majoring in Elementary Education and Integrated Science and Math with a Physical Science Concentration, Minors in Middle School Math Education and Middle School Science Education Involved in: Student Admission Representative, Student Education Association- Past President, Kappa Delta Pi- Past Secretary, Current VP		I chose Rider because our education program. We have three field placements before student teaching. Also, taking part in the “Student for a Day” program.

	Brittany Santos (Class of 2012) Ocean County Performing Arts Academy, Toms River, NJ Majoring in Music Theater Involved in: Alpha Psi Omega (Honors Theatre Fraternity), Baccalaureate Honors Program, Campus musical productions at Rider and Westminster		I chose Rider because of its quality of music programs, and small size of student body.

	Tim Schuster (Class of 2011) – Student for a Day Coordinator Old Bridge High School, Old Bridge, NJ Majoring in Accounting, Minor in History Involved in: President of Delta Sigma Pi, DAARSTOC, Accounting Society, Tutor, CBA Student Advisory Board, Be A Rider Student for a Day Coordinator, Freshman Seminar Leader		I chose Rider because I came to an Admitted Student Day and I loved the sense of community and a great business program!

	Rob Snyder (Class of 2012) Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ Majors in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance and International Business, Minors in Economics, Accounting Forensics, and Computer Information Systems Involved in: Residence Life, SERVES, Student Government Association		I chose Rider because of its small campus and location.

	Diandra Soto (Class of 2012) Hoboken High School, Queens, NY Majoring in Theater Involved in: Theater, Club volleyball		I chose Rider because of the beautiful campus. I love Rider’s size. It makes me feel at home. Teachers get to know you so well, and the quality of education is amazing.

	Adrienne Stazzone (Class of 2012) St. John Villa Academy, Staten Island, NY Majoring in Journalism, Minor in Arts Administration Involved in: Assistant Features & Entertainment Editor of the Rider News, Residence Hall Association, and Catholic Campus Ministry		I chose Rider because upon visiting Rider, I really felt that I could see myself as a member of its community. Each student and faculty member was so willing to offer information and help. I knew that it was a good fit.

	Megan Studwell (Class of 2011) Woodstown High School, Woodstown, NJ Majoring in Marketing and Advertising Involved in: Public Relations Chair of Student Entertainment Council, Internship at 107.7 The Bronc		I chose Rider because of its academic scholarship offerings, small size, location, comfortable and friendly vibe.

	Melissa Suserman (Class of 2010) Montville High School, Montville, NJ Double majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology, Minor in Special Education, Leadership Development Program Certificate Involved in: Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society, Phi Chi Honor Society, Order of Omega Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Alpha Xi Delta, Leadership Development Program, Hillel, Student Education Association, Council for Exceptional Children, Emerging Leaders		I chose Rider because I felt at home. I was comfortable and that was the most important thing for me.

	Ali Toohey (Class of 2009) Freehold Township High School, Howell, NJ Double Majoring in Elementary Education and Journalism with a News Editorial track Involved in: President of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Student Education Association, Lambda Pi Eta, Orientation Staff		I chose Rider because I knew that going to a small university would give me the opportunity to stand out as a student and receive individualized attention from professors. Also, our Education department is second to none.

	Andrew Toskovich (Class of 2011) Garfield High School, Garfield, NJ Majoring in Accounting Involved in: Residence Life as a Resident Advisor, President of the Club Volleyball Team, Freshman Seminar Peer Mentor		I chose Rider due to the nationally accredited College of Business in addition to the high placement rate after graduation. This campus provides a great atmosphere which I could not picture happening anywhere else. Not to mention, it just feels like another home.

	Carly Totten (Class of 2011) Pennsbury High School, Yardley, PA Majoring in Communications with a track in Public Relations, Minor in Event Planning Involved in: Rider News, Alpha Lambda Delta, Lambda Pi Eta, Freshman Peer Mentor		I chose Rider because all of the staff and faculty at Rider are so willing to answer questions and help in any way that they can. Additionally, I loved and still love that the communications program is hands on.

	Brian Williams (Class of 2011) John P. Stevens High School, Edison, NJ Double Majoring in Finance and Global Supply Chain Management Involved in: Student Entertainment Council, Sigma Phi Epsilon Social Fraternity, Leadership Development Program, Club Volleyball		I chose Rider because of its many opportunities for co-ops and internships as well as the positive experiences of my family members.

	Deirdre Williams (Class of 2011) Hamilton High School-North, Hamilton, NJ Majoring in History, Minor in English Involved in: Student Government Association, History Club, On Fire! Literary Journal		I chose Rider because honestly I wanted a school that paid attention to their students and focused on their needs. Here I’m not just a number, I’m a person.

	Tom Wospil Class of 2011 Council Rock South High School, Hometown: Ewing, NJ Majoring in Marketing, Minor in American Studies Involved in: President of Rider Ultimate Frisbee, RHA -Rec. Programs Chair, Bronc Aide SGA, O-Staff 08-09, Peer Mentor		I chose Rider because I felt at home when I stepped on campus plus the great business school.
