Employment

On-campus employment is permitted for F-1 and J-1 visa students, provided that legal status is maintained.  Students may work up to 20 hours per week on campus during the semester, and additional hours during school breaks.  Please note that there are a limited number of jobs on campus and no student is EVER guaranteed a job.  Students must plan their finances assuming that employment will NOT be available.

As part of a degree program, some students may apply and participate in a cooperative, off-campus internship (Curricular Practical Training/CPT).  Also, eligible students may stay an additional year in the U.S. upon completion of  study to participate in Optional Practical Training (OPT).
