S.S. Rider Victory

  • Rider was one of 22 institutions of higher education in the United States honored by having a ship, part of the U.S. Maritime Fleet, named for Rider College. It was a 10,500 ton vessel, christened March 26, 1945 at the California Shipbuilding Yards in Wimington, California. The ship is currently in mothball status.
