NOVEMBER 27, 1996- WALKER APPOINTED ASSISTANT DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF CONTINUING STUDIES
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Angela Gonzalez Walker of Newtown has been appointed assistant dean of Rider University's College of Continuing Studies.
Walker is responsible for advising students enrolled in the college's 10 Bachelor degree programs, as well as advising prospective students in their part-time educational options and opportunities. She is also responsible for the publication of the college's student newsletter.
Prior to assuming her new post at Rider, Walker was the director of evening and summer programs
at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia since 1990, administrating the curriculum and programs for approximately 1,000 students per year. She has also served as director of off-campus programs for the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, assistant director of admissions for the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and administrative assistant at the Philadelphia Colleges of the Arts.
Walker holds an M.A. in art history received from Rosary College in River Forest, IL in 1984. She received her B.A. in art history in 1980 from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA.
