NOVEMBER 8, 1996- RIDER UNIVERSITY TRUSTEES ELECT MAZZOTTI TO THE BOARD
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- The Rider University Board of Trustees has elected Joan C. Mazzotti (left), associate general counsel and assistant secretary of the ARAMARK Corporation of Philadelphia, to a three-year term on the board.
Mazzotti, a resident of Haverford, PA, has been associated with ARAMARK since 1977 and currently manages the legal services for their global food and support services group, a $4 billion operating division of the corporation.
Her civic activities include serving as a member of the board of directors of the Support Center for Child Advocates, which provides free legal services to abused and neglected children in Philadelphia, from 1984-1992, including a term as president from 1985-1987. She also currently serves on the Leadership Council of Women's Way, a funding federation for agencies providing services to women.
At Rider, Mazzotti is the chairperson of the Annual Fund, a position she has held since 1995.
Mazzotti received her undergraduate degree from Rider in 1972 and earned her law degree from the Villanova University School of Law in 1975. From 1975 to 1977, she was a law fellow at the American Law Institute where she concentrated on issues related to the legal aspects of museum administration.
