LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- P. Tysen Kendig (left) of Stockton has been appointed Associate Director of Public Relations at Rider University in Lawrenceville.

A 1990 graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School, Kendig is a former sports writer and editor at The Trentonian and a part-time feature writer at Blue-White Illustrated magazine in State College, Pa. He was also employed by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Companies in West Trenton.

At Rider, Kendig is responsible for publicizing the activities, programs, and people of the University, as well as coordinating the publication of Rider's weekly internal newsletter, Communiqué. He is also in charge of developing and maintaining the About Rider and the News and Events areas of the University's World Wide Web site on the Internet.

Kendig received a B.A. in journalism from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995.
