OCTOBER 25, 1996- BOLGE WINS AMERICAN MINERALOGIST AWARD
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Louise Bolge of Trenton, a senior geology major/chemistry minor at Rider University, is one of four students nationally to receive the American Mineralogist Undergraduate (AMU) Award for showing excellent ability in the field and outstanding achievement in mineralogy-related courses.
The Mineralogical Society of America presents the AMU award. Dr. Jonathan Husch, Rider professor of geosciences, sponsored Bolge for the award.
A graduate of McCorristin Catholic High School, Bolge is a member of Rider's Honor Key Society, an Andrew J. Rider Scholar, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, and a Dean's List student every semester.
"The professors in the sciences are very helpful and knowledgeable," Bolge said about her collegiate career at Rider. "The campus is beautiful and full of some of the most down to earth people I've ever met."
