OCTOBER 11, 1996- RIDER UNIVERSITY TO HOLD FOREIGN LANGUAGE CAREERFEST ON OCTOBER 22
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Four former Rider University foreign language majors will discuss their careers in banking, business, travel and tourism, and education at the University's Foreign Language Careerfest on Tuesday, October 22.
Sponsored by Rider's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, the alumni panel discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the College of Business Administration auditorium.
Panelists include: Alice Delancey of Upper Montclair (1981 B.A. degree in Spanish), vice president for human resources of Bankers Trust; Paul Vetrati of Lakewood (1991 degree in Spanish) , a flight attendant for Continental Airlines who is also involved in the restaurant industry; Helen Materazzi of Montville (1984 B.S. degree in office administration and a German scholar), manager of human resources, planning and development for Degussa Corporation; and Larry Burke of Mt. Holly (1993 degree in secondary education/German), instructor of German at Washington Township High School in Lumberton.
Following the panel discussion, members of audience may visit the new, high-tech Foreign Language Media Center in Room 259 of the Fine Arts Center. Guests may explore the new computer database for internships, jobs, careers, study abroad, graduate schools, and other areas of career interest in the new facility.
