OCTOBER 29, 1996- FRIZZELL AWARDED ANNUAL GARY A. CARSKADDAN HISTORY PRIZE

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Lara K. Frizzell, a junior from Spokane, WA, has been named the recipient of the Gary A. Carskaddan History Prize presented annually to the Rider University history major with the highest grade point average in history courses during the previous semester.

Frizzell, an elementary education and history double-major who last year received the University's top scholastic honor when she was named an Andrew J. Rider Scholar, will have her name added to the Carskaddan plaque on display in the history department and receive a gift certificate from University Bookstore.

Gary A. Carskaddan is a 1985 Rider graduate who has funded the history prize for several years. He is currently a Student Life administrator at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA.
