LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Rider University students Dominique Prizgint of Wayside, NJ, and Valeria Skarbek of Pasadena, MD, will be among 110 honor students nationwide who will be attending the annual Alpha Lambda Delta Leadership/Activities Workshop in Dallas, TX, during the weekend of October 17-19.
The workshop, hosted by the Dallas Grand Hotel, will feature fun and educational sessions on building and improving individual campus chapters, as well awards presentations and recreational activities such as social mixers and tours of the Dallas and the John F. Kennedy Museum.
Prizgint, a junior double-majoring in computer information systems and accounting, is the president of Rider's Alpha Lambda Delta chapter. Earlier this year, she was selected to attend the National Conference for Women Student Leaders in Washington, D.C. The conference, sponsored by Advancing Women in Higher Education (NAWE) and designed for women students currently in leadership roles on college and university campuses nationwide, allowed Prizgint to participate in leadership and personal development workshops, network with diverse women leaders, and attend presentations by nationally-recognized speakers. She was chosen based on her outstanding contributions to Rider's Orienting Women Leaders (OWL) program.
Skarbek, also a junior, is double-majoring in marketing and advertising.
