LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- "Lessons of the Holocaust" will be the theme of this year's Yom Hashoah Interfaith Commemorative Service, presented by the Julius and Dorothy Koppelman Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center of Rider University, on Sunday, May 4, 1997.

The annual program will begin at 3 p.m. in Gill Memorial Chapel on the University's Lawrenceville campus. It is being co-sponsored by the Community Relations Council of the United Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks.

A special award will be presented during the service to members of the Newtown, PA, community who, when sensing the pain of a Jewish neighbor, showed the compassion that many are hopeful has become a lesson of the Holocaust.

The service is free and open to the public, and no reservations are necessary. For more information, call the Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center at (609) 896-5345.

Rider University's Lawrenceville campus is located five miles south of Princeton and three miles north of Trenton on Route 206 in Lawrence Township, NJ. The campus is one-half mile south of exit 7A of Interstate 95.
