APRIL 24, 1997- RIDER EXPERTS TO OFFER ADVICE AT BUSINESS GOES TO COLLEGE CONFERENCE

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Rider University business professors Cengiz Haksever, Thomas Ruble, and Ronald Cook will join their colleagues from other area institutions to offer advice and assistance in the areas of business development, management, and technology at the first Business Goes To College Conference on Friday, May 2, at Mercer County Community College.

The conference, which will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., is a collaboration of expert institutional resources from Mercer County's five colleges and universities: Rider, Princeton University, The College of New Jersey, Mercer County Community College, and Thomas Edison State College.

Dr. Haksever will lead a workshop on "Re-engineering Your Organization: The Challenge." The focus will be to look at the challenges businesses face in providing quality service and operating efficiently. Participants will be able to share their challenges and discuss potential solutions.

Dr. Ruble will present a program titled, "Executive Leadership Skills: Managing Your Business," which will examine the elements of effective leadership to maximize the success of a business.

Dr. Cook will outline the opportunities offered by the Small Business Institute at Rider University. The Institute was designed to help area small business owners by providing free, confidential consultation by teams of Rider College of Business Administration seniors during an academic semester.

In addition, Rider's Office of Career Services will be on-hand to discuss how to effectively select and utilize interns in a corporate environment.

The fee for attending the conference is $25, which covers these and other workshops, plus a continental breakfast, lunch, a mousepad, and an opening address by Dr. Richard Spies, Vice President for Finance and Administration at Princeton University.
