March 5, 1999- ANNUAL YOM HASHOAH INTERFAITH SERVICE WELCOMES RABBI LEON KLENICKI
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ -- Rabbi Leon Klenicki, director of interfaith relations for the Anti-Defamation League and co-liaison to the Vatican, will be the guest speaker at Rider University's annual Yom Hashoah Interfaith Commemorative Service on Sunday, April 11 at Gill Memorial Chapel on the University's Lawrenceville campus.
The commemorative service is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with Rabbi Klenicki's rendition of a self-written interreligious Holocaust memorial service titled "From Desolation to Hope." The memorial service script was co-written by Dr. Eugene Fisher, associate director and secretary of ecumenical and interreligious affairs for the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, DC.
Rabbi Klenicki will follow the service with the presentation of his address to the audience.
The program will be co-sponsored by the Julius and Dorothy Koppelman Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Princeton Mercer Bucks. There is no charge for admission and no reservations are required.
