If you plan to make dinner reservations following the Commencement ceremony, please give yourself ample time as there will be traffic delays. Nearby hotel and restaurant information.

Academic Attire
Please pick up your cap and gown BEFORE Commencement day. They will continue to be distributed from the Office of the President, Moore Library, Room 101, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Student ID is required for cap and gown pick up. If you are unable to come to the office during this time, please e-mail commencement@rider.edu to make alternate arrangements.

Special Seating
Special seating will be provided for students and guests with disabilities. Handicapped parking areas and golf cart transportation to special seating will also be provided. Please contact the Office of the President at 609-896-5001 or e-mail commencement@rider.edu for more information.

Diplomas
Diplomas will not be distributed during the ceremony. Upon clearance from the Registrar and Dean, the Registrar will order your student's diploma. It will be sent to them via regular mail.

December graduates should expect delivery of their diploma by mid-April; May graduates by mid-September; and August graduates by mid-December.

Transcripts
The Registrar’s Office will mail transcripts for December graduates by mid-February, by mid-June for May graduates, and by mid-September for August graduates.

Alcohol Policy
In compliance with New Jersey State Law and Lawrence Township ordinances, open alcoholic beverages are not permitted on campus. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a safe and special day for the entire Rider community.

Commencement Announcements
Commencement announcements will be available for purchase in the University Store in late March 2008. Diploma frames, balloons and other Rider merchandise may be ordered through the University Store beginning March 31, 2008. Please contact the University Store at 609-896-5121 for more information.

Flower Orders
Flowers may be ordered through Monday Morning Flower and Balloon Company beginning March 31, 2008. Please call 1-609-520-2005 and indicate that you are ordering flowers for the Rider University Commencement on either Thursday, May 8th (if your student is a Graduate or CCS student) or Friday, May 9th (if your student is an undergraduate student graduating from the College of Business Administration or College of Liberal Arts, Education and Sciences).
