LAWRENCEVILLE – Thomas J. Lynch, president of Tyco Engineered Products & Services of Princeton, a business segment of Tyco International, will speak on ethics and corporate responsibility at Rider University’s Sweigart Hall Auditorium on Friday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m.

Lynch is responsible for operations of the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial valves and controls. With 2004 revenue of $6 billion, Tyco Engineered Products & Services consists of four global businesses – Electrical and Metal Products, Fire Products, Flow Control and Infrastructure Services.

Lynch, a 1975 Rider graduate with a degree in accounting, joined Tyco in September 2004 from Motorola, where he served as executive vice president of Motorola, and president and chief executive officer of Motorola’s personal communications sector.

Prior to Motorola, Lynch served as senior vice president and general manager of satellite and broadcast network systems for General Instrument Corporation.

A student leadership group, which is part of Rider’s new Center for the Development of Leadership Skills (CDLS), is organizing his visit to campus. CDLS offers students interpersonal leadership skills training and assessment through academic and co-curricular activities.

Tyco International is a global, diversified company that provides vital products and services to customers in five business segments – Fire and Security, Electronics, Healthcare, Engineered Products and Services, and Plastics and Adhesives.
