Nov. 23 - Thanksgiving Luncheon: A Time for Giving, Reflection
Members of the Rider community will reaffirm what they are thankful for at Rider’s Thanksgiving luncheon on Tuesday, November 23 from
Upholding the theme, “A Reason to Celebrate Together,” festivities will take place in the Bart Luedeke Center (BLC) Cavalla Room, where students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to a traditional Thanksgiving feast, complete with turkey and all the fancy trimmings. The luncheon is free for students who present a ticket and donate a canned food item. The donation is $6 per ticket for faculty and staff.
Tickets will be available on a first-come, first serve basis. On Monday, November 15 through Friday, November 19, members of Rider’s Lawrenceville community may pick up tickets at the BLC ticket kiosk from
In addition, tickets may be picked up at Daly’s on the Lawrenceville campus from
Debbie McCandless, a sophomore business administration major and Student Commissioner on Community Service, will present words of welcome. Helen Carroll, executive assistant in the finance division, will deliver the invocation. Shelley Richards, a sophomore political science/Spanish/global and multinational studies major; Dominique Franck, an MBA candidate; and Debbie Farris, director of the Disbursements/Payroll Office; will be among Rider community members to offer words of reflection and personal thanks. Rider Vibes, a nine-member acappella singing group, will offer musical selections. Homecoming King and Queen seniors Robert Giorgio, a senior communication major, and Kat Zimoulis, an English major, will deliver closing remarks.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Suchi Batra, community service coordinator and graduate assistant in the Center for Multicultural Affairs and Community Service, is organizing this year’s Rider University Thanksgiving basket drive.
