Oct. 26 - Andrew J. Rider Scholars Honored on Founder’s Day
Rider University’s best and brightest undergraduate students will be honored as Andrew J. Rider Scholars on Saturday, November 6 as part of the annual Founder’s Day ceremony. The program begins at 11 a.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center Theater. The Scholars have been selected based on their grade point averages.
The faculty address will be given by Dr. James Murphy, associate professor of graduate education in the School of Education. The student address will be delivered by Heidi E. Berkey, a senior in the School of Education. A total of 58 scholars will be awarded certificates by President Mordechai Rozanski during the ceremony.
"Andrew J. Rider Scholars are a versatile group of outstanding students from Rider's five colleges and schools on its two campuses," said Dr. Phyllis Frakt, vice president for academic affairs and provost. "Only the top one percent receive this designation. It is always a pleasure to recognize such significant achievement."
