Goldstein Prejudice Reduction Lecture on Wednesday, November 7, at 8 p.m. in Rider University’s Bart Luedeke Center Theater.

In observance of Martin Luther King Day at Rider University, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will speak on the topic of “Race Rules: Navigating the Color Line” on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center (BLC) Theater. 


Lacewell-Harris Delivers Unity Day Address, October 9, 2007

Kicking off Rider University’s Unity Day activities on October 9, Dr. Melissa Lacewell-Harris, associate professor of political science at Princeton University, shared her analysis of the impact of the black vote on the Democratic presidential primaries and the politics of Hurricane Katrina.

Mercer County students in grades 4 to 12 have entered more than 400 projects to vie for honors in the 56th Mercer Science and Engineering Fair, hosted by Rider University, from Saturday, March 15, to Thursday, March 20, in the Bart Luedeke Center Cavalla Room.

Cataloging of Murnion Music Collection Continues

The library staff at the Talbott Library has cataloged 6,000 of the 13,000 CDs that Westminster received through the estate of John P. Murnion last year. When the process is completed, the library's holdings of LPs and CDs is expected to reach 29,000.


Rider Earns Prestigious NASP Accreditation

For the first time in its 30-year history, Rider University's School Psychology program has earned national accreditation from the prestigious National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), becoming one of only four graduate programs in the state of New Jersey to hold such distinctive national accreditation.


Rider University Leaders Helping Disabled Adults

The Rider University Leadership Development Program sponsored a community service effort on Saturday, February 9, sending 16 students and five volunteers from Young Leaders United (YLU) to five group homes where four or five adults with disabilities live. They played board games, set up a Valentine's Day Party, made arts and crafts, and participated in other fun activities. The group homes are part of Enable, Inc., which serves disabled adults by helping them live independently in their community.


Rider Inducts Five Broncs into Athletics Hall of Fame

The first female All-American, the last football coach, the first NCAA track qualifier, an All-American wrestler and an All-American basketball player were inducted into the Rider University Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 26, in a ceremony held in the Student Recreation Center.

After nearly a year of discovery and design, Rider University has launched both a new University Web site and a new athletics Web site, and the reviews have been superlative.

Donald Steven, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, has announced the promotion of Boris Vilic from associate dean and executive director of the College of Continuing Studies (CCS) to dean of CCS.


Rider Opens Spring Theater Season With "Proof"

The powerful story of an enigmatic young woman haunted by her father’s past and the shadow of her own future is told in the Pulitzer Prize winning drama Proof written by David Auburn.  Rider’s fine arts department production will run February 15, 16, 22, 23.  The curtain rises at 8 p.m. in the Yvonne Theater.  Preview performance is on February 14 at 7 p.m.


Rider Accounting Students Again Offer Free Tax Help

Fifteen Rider University accounting students have volunteered to offer tax help through the Internal Revenue Services’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program in the coming weeks to individuals who cannot afford professional tax help.
