Fourteen College of Business Administration Students Inducted into National Organization

Fourteen students from the College of Business Administration were inducted into Rider University’s Beta Alpha Psi chapter, the worldwide premier co-ed professional Accounting, Finance and Computer/Business Information organization, on Friday, May 2.

Beta Alpha Psi complements members’ formal education by providing interaction between students, faculty and professionals, as well as fostering lifelong growth, service and ethical conduct. The organization invites and gives recognition to individuals who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence.

The honored students are: Maidul Begum of Trenton, N.J., junior Accounting and Finance double major; Jaclyn Carothers of Hamilton, N.J., junior Finance major; Kimberly Ciotti of Jeffersonville, Pa., senior Accounting major; Bernadette DePinto of Cream Ridge, N.J., senior Finance major; Sabrina Govindarajan of Berkeley Heights, N.J., senior Finance major; Latoya Green of Bronxville, N.Y., senior Accounting major; Emily Holden of Langhorne, Pa., junior Finance major; Mark Jayaram of Hainesport, N.J., Master of Business Administration candidate; John Martinson of Newtown, Pa., Master of Business Administration candidate; Matthew McAuliffe of Mount Laurel, N.J., junior Finance major; Aleksandra Popczyk of Lawrenceville, N.J., senior Finance major; Alfred Russo of Nutley, N.J., junior Accounting major; Rob Setters of Newtown, Pa., Master of Business Administration candidate; and Meghan Weeks of East Windsor, N.J., Master of Business Administration candidate.

In order to be inducted, students must have a 3.0 minimum for cumulative and major GPAs, and fulfill pledging requirements. Pledging Beta Alpha Psi consists of two semesters. Pledges are required to attend meetings, compete one hour of community service and two hours of tutoring per semester, as well as participate in fundraising events.
