Graduate & CCS Commencement - Rain Policy and Rain Tickets
Rider University will conduct the Graduate and CCS Commencement ceremony on its Lawrenceville campus on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 5:30 p.m.
Given favorable weather, we intend to hold this ceremony outside on the Campus Green so that we can accommodate all of our students and their families. There will be no limit to the number of guests you can invite to attend the outside ceremony.
In the event of rain that evening, we will move the ceremony into the Student Recreation Center (SRC). Due to limited seating availability, only five guests per graduate will be admitted into the Student Recreation Center. Each graduate will be provided with five “rain” tickets when picking up academic attire. Guests who do not have these tickets may view a live video broadcast of the ceremony in the Alumni Gym or the Bart Luedeke Center Theater, or by visiting www.rider.edu.
You will be able to obtain the latest information about the location of the ceremony by visiting the Rider website, www.rider.edu, or by calling the Rider information hotline at 609-219-2000 for updates as late as Thursday afternoon, May 8th. Should schedule changes be required due to severe weather, these changes will also be announced on local radio stations including WHWH, WPST, WBUD, WIMG, NJ101.5, WTTM, WCTC, WCHR, WBCB, and WOR-NY.
If you have any questions regarding Commencement, please contact the Office of the President at 609-896-5001 or visit www.rider.edu/commencement.
