Margaret M. Dugan joined Rider University’s College of Continuing Studies (CCS) as assistant dean for University Outreach on October 22. Her successful career included managing corporate and community outreach programs for Temple University and Delaware County Community College.
In this newly created position, Dugan will spearhead the College’s outreach programs, working with area companies to raise awareness of the University’s programs for working adults (whether credit or non-credit). She will also provide leadership for the Applied Leadership Institute for Science Professionals, an executive education program for scientists transitioning into leadership roles.
“I am confident that Margaret will be successful in helping advance the College to the next level of excellence,” said Boris Vilic, executive director and associate dean of CCS. “I know that our academic colleagues will enjoy getting to know her and working with her on new projects.”
Jamie O’Hara, vice president for enrollment management, concurs. “Margaret will be a great asset to CCS and all the new outreach programs we are looking to establish over the coming years,” said O’Hara.
Dugan holds an M.S. in management from Rosemont College and a B.A. in journalism and public relations from Temple University.
Rider University recently celebrated 140 years of serving adult students through evening programs. The University’s innovative academic programs – renowned for their curricular excellence and expert faculty – have placed Rider in the top tier of northern universities by U.S. News & World Report and among the “Best 366 Colleges” by Princeton Review. The College of Continuing Studies, one of Rider’s four Colleges, serves over 1,000 adult learners each year through its credit-based associate and bachelor’s degree programs and non-credit programs.
