Planned Emergency Training Drill - July 19, 2007

Dear Rider Community,

Please be reminded that in my email message to you last week I mentioned
that there will be a planned emergency training drill on the
Lawrenceville campus beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. and ending by
10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19. As part of this drill, there will be a
number of emergency response units appearing on campus including fire
engines, ambulances and police vehicles.

Vickie Weaver, our Director of Public Safety, and Jack Oakley, Deputy
Director of Emergency Management for Lawrence Township, are coordinating
the exercise. The drill will include the Lawrence Township EMS, fire and
police along with the Trenton Fire Department's Hazmat Unit. Also
participating are the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) - local
citizens who have volunteered to be CERT members - as well as Rider
students, faculty and staff.

The planned drill for July 19 is part of Rider’s emergency response plan
and will provide us an important learning experience as we strive to
ensure that Rider University is and will continue to be a safe community.

If you have any questions, please contact the University during regular
business hours at (609) 896-5101.
