Harry I. Naar is Professor of Fine Arts and Director of the Rider University Art Gallery.  He received his BFA from Philadelphia College of Art (University of The Arts) and his MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Indiana University, Bloomington.  He has also studied in Paris, France, meeting with he renowned French painter Jean Helion.

Professor Naar as exhibited his work in numerous one person and group exhibitions throughout the country in such venues as:

  • The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC
  • The Canton Art Institute, Canton, OH
  • The High Museum of Art, Atlanta, GA
  • The Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton, FL
  • The New Jesey State Museum
  • The USSR Artists Union Gallery, Moscow

In 2005, Professor Naar received a grant in printmaking from The Rutgers University Center for Innovative Print and Paper (Brodsky Center).  As Rider University Art Gallery Director, he has curated a wide range of exhibitions and has conducted and written numerous artists' interviews and exhibition catalogues.  He has exhibited over 100 artists in the Rider University Art Gallery.
