Music Theater
The interdisciplinary Music Theater Program at Westminster College of the Arts provides thorough grounding in acting, dancing, and singing. Majors complete a Bachelor of Music program that supplies them with valuable experience as they fulfill backstage and onstage performance requirements.
Keeping with the increasing vocal demands in the realm of American music theater and opera, Westminster holds higher vocal expectations for its students than is generally the case elsewhere. Included with Westminster’s voice instruction is a concern for vocal health to prepare graduates for the rigors of professional singing.
Students are assured of a highly personal learning experience with instructors who include many best-known names in music and theater.
Recent campus musical theater productions include:
- The Baker’s Wife
- The Music Man
- Anything Goes
- Smile
- Is There Life After High School
- Two Gentlemen of Verona
- Urinetown
- The Wild Party
