Music Concentration Requirements
All Fine Arts majors who concentrate in Music complete courses in the history of art, dance, music and theatre, introductory courses in music theory and piano, plus advanced courses in music history and applied music. Although the music concentration can be completed entirely on the Lawrenceville campus, courses may also be taken at Westminster Choir College in nearby Princeton.
The Rider Band
The Rider Band performs a concert of traditional and current concert band music at the end of each semester under the direction of Dr. Jerry Rife, a leading authority on the music of John Phillip Sousa.
The Rider Choir
The Rider Choir performs a concert of classic and modern vocal music at the end of each semester under the direction of Craig Tipton.
